iDatalink's HRN-SR-VW2 wiring adapter works in conjunction with iDatalink's Maestro ADS-MSR module, allowing you to connect a new car stereo in select 2016-19 Volkswagen vehicles. Once connected, you'll retain the use of your steering wheel audio controls and factory amplifier (including turn-on, fader, and gain controls) in these vehicles.

You'll also keep your factory backup camera with parking guidelines and retained accessory power (RAP). The adapter also provides 12V accessory power and illumination outputs, along with the parking brake, reverse, Vehicle Speed Sense outputs required for navigation receivers. The package includes connectors that plug in between the Maestro module and your factory radio's wiring plugs.

This harness features an in-line head-unit connector harness, which will plug into iDatalink's new "Head-unit direct" harnesses for select radio brands. If you're installing a radio that doesn't work with a "Head-unit direct" harness, you simply cut off the plug and connect the wires to the harness included with your new radio.

Installation Note: The HRN-SR-VW2 adapter must be used with the iDatalink Maestro ADS-MSR module to connect any new car stereo to your 2016-19 Volkswagen vehicle.
